Why I chose franchising
I spent approximately two years looking into various business opportunities. I became sold on the franchise route because of the success rate, back-up and expertise that this method could provide.

I chose CHIPS because I have always has an interest in gaming, this route allowed me to link an interest/hobby with work. I was also very impressed with the open and honest approach that everyone connected with CHIPS has provided.

What I did before taking up a franchise
I worked for various building societies and banks for more than 20 years.

How I raised the finance
I raised most of the finance from savings and the balance by re-mortgaging my house.

The training and support I received from my franchisor
The support from all the CHIPS staff has been excellent and as everybody says - they are only a phone call away.

The challenges I have faced
Opening the week before Christmas! But with the help & support of both family and all at CHIPS we survived!

My advice to someone thinking of buying their first franchise
Go to the franchise exhibitions; speak to both the franchisors and franchisees; take professional advice and take your time.

My plans for the future
To live long and prosper!
